It’s no surprise that Jimmy Choo became such a successful shoe designer. Choo was born into a family of shoe makers and by the mere age of 11 he had already created his first pair of shoes. He pursued his career as a shoemaker by attending Cordwainers’ Technical College in London. After he graduated, Choo opened up a modest workshop. His ambition paid off when he was featured in an eight page spread in a 1988 issue of Vogue. After the publication, he reached international acclaim. Now Jimmy Choo shoes can be found throughout Europe as well as all the major department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Barney’s. Although most of Hollywood owns a pair of Jimmy Choo’s his biggest fans are Petra Nemacova, Ali Larter, and Kelly Ripa.
